My boy Archie went off to Sea - Limited Edition Print

£50.00

Print size: 9 x 13 inches
Image size: 8.75 x 12.75

My boy Archie is one of the paintings from We all Cast shadows. This body of work is inspired by fishing communities and times of hardship and community and is based on the book In the heart of the sea by Nathaniel Philbrick.

My Grandfathers name was Archie and spent some time in the Navy just after the war. It makes me think of war time as well as fishing and whaling communities – where many of the men – husbands, fiancées, sons, and grandsons were away for months or even years at a time. Every day would be spent with thoughts of those who were gone, some never to return. But with this thought there is always hope and the knowledge that they too think of us.

This is a limited edition of 100 at this size. Print will arrive with a certificate of authenticity and is un-mounted.

This is a professionally printed reproduction giclee of my original artwork, printed onto Fine Art textured watercolour paper using archival quality pigment inks. The original of this piece incorporated ink and acrylics to create this textured and atmospheric piece of art.

The print will be shipped encased in cello sleeve in a cardboard envelope and with an ivory matte/mount.

This painting is protected by copyright and as such reproduction rights are not given to the purchaser of this print – Many thanks
