Drawn to the Figure - In Person Life Drawing Workshop - October 2026

We would like to invite you to our October life drawing workshop in Acklington village - organised by Helen Grierson and Gillian Lee Smith.

Date and time: Saturday 17th October from 2 pm to 4.30 pm.
Venue - Acklington Village Hall, Northumberland

Each workshop will have a light theme and will vary between the nude and the draped figure with our life model.

The sessions will be led by Gillian Lee Smith and will include introductions to other artists who work with the figure, as well as guidance and prompts for energetic responses to our wonderful model.

Materials and Equipment

We have some drawing boards, so you may want to bring your own as well as an easel if you would like to use one. Tables and chairs are provided.

The workshops will include basic materials (paper, charcoal, erasers, pencils) and refreshments, as well as the hire of the main hall at Acklington and our life model. You are free to bring any additional materials you may wish to use.

Gillian will send a reminder email one week prior to the workshop date with venue directions and any other info. Please make sure your email address is correct when booking the workshop.

Cancellations: Places for this workshop are limited. For any cancellations less than 14 days prior to the workshop, your booking will be transferred to a future workshop.
